Who Will Bring Justice?

In Isaiah 42:1–9, God introduces His chosen Servant who will bring justice to the nations, establish His covenant, and be a light to the Gentiles. Matthew 12:18–21 identifies Jesus as the fulfillment of this prophecy. Unlike the powerless idols of the nations, Jesus accomplishes the work of God Himself.

Jesus is the Just Servant, who brings righteousness through His perfect life and sacrificial death and will one day judge all people with perfect justice. He is the Gentle Servant, who accomplishes God's work not through self-promotion or coercion, but through meekness and compassion. And He is the Light, who reveals the Creator's true standard of justice and brings God's salvation to the nations.
